Each 'funtastic' party is planned exclusively and professionally, and of course tailored to each age group. I have extensive child and party experience and come highly recommended (excellent references available on request). I am a professional dance teacher with over 10 years experience, and have choreographed and taught for competitions, pop performances, theatre shows and television. As a previous manager of a creche and youth activity centre and being a nanny, I gained valuable experience with children of all ages. Parties can be held at home or a hall/ function room can be hired. (I adapt my parties for a smaller space at homes). Where possible I would accommodate any theme/request.

POP DANCE & DISCO PARTIES FOR BOYS &GIRLS 4+ YRS TO TEENAGERS

Lisa The Disco Diva arrives full of energy with a dazzling disco...pop dance tuition (& performance to parents)...,wacky games... limbo competition... glitter& make-up (girls parties),.. magic & balloon modelling... & lots of fun!

  • I bring the full mobile DJ equipment - including dazzling lights, disco ball, bubble and smoke machine. A visual treat for children of any age!
  • Learn to dance like a pop star! As a professional dance teacher (IDTA), I choreograph and teach dance routines to their favourite music. (Children as young as four years can learn easy routines). As a finale to the party parents could be invited back for a performance.

    In addition to current chart/pop and R'n'B music & dance routines, I can also cater for line, ballroom &Latin dancing & favourites from the past i.e./ Grease, Abba, etc.
  • Glitter babes - I have glitter, make-up, nail varnish, body tattoos etc. to apply if desired
  • I also incorporate wacky games (traditional & original), parachute games, fun party dances. Lots of laughter!
  • Limbo dancing competition, hula-hoops... a firm favourite of all ages!

I also offer themed parties that include the dazzling disco, dancing, games, magic etc. as described above, but also incorporate a theme. I wear full costume for themed parties. Other themes can be accommodated where possible...

Popular themes for children aged approximately 4-7 years include:

TEENAGE DISCOS

Teenagers want to be treated as adults, but sometimes also want to hold onto a bit of playfulness without appearing 'uncool'. Playing the right music is essential for a great party, but IF appropriate I can also introduce a limbo dancing competition, party dance routines & wacky games & competitions.

I provide the full mobile DJ equipment - including dazzling lights/light shows, disco ball, bubble and smoke machine. A visual treat!

Optional extras for guaranteed amusement & entertainment :

  • Giant inflatables & silly wigs thrown out ( extra charge).
  • Giant games set up provide additional entertainment i.e. giant Jenga, connect 4.

Having a wealth of experience with teenagers I find them easy to relate to & have the ' teenage vibe'.

Friendly dance classes in and around London for adults and children, group & private lessons, school workshops (freelance), wedding dance tuition, dance tuition for parties and events (i.e. hen parties, weddings, promotions etc.) and health clubs.

I am a professional dance teacher with IDTA (International Dance Teachers Association) covering London and surrounding areas. I have 12 years experience teaching all ages, from children aged 2 years through to adult. (As a qualified member of lPTA I can enter students for examinations - if so desired, but it's not compulsory). I have choreographed, taught for, and performed in shows and performances of various kinds, including theatre and pop performances (backing dancers). Energy, drive.

Styles I teach are funky modern and street jazz, R/n'B/hip hop, pop video style, freestyle/disco, Latin American, Ballroom and line.

I can also offer one to one and small group private lessons, including wedding dance tuition for that first dance on your special day.
Getting married?

I limit maximum numbers of students per class to ensure comfort and quality of class.

Dance is a fun form of exercise and is beneficial in many ways including the development of co-ordination, rhythm, fitness, stamina, muscle tone, flexibility, expression and confidence.

Funky Street Jazz / R'n'B dance class for adults. Mondays 9 -9 pm at The Place (great venue), 16 Flaxman Terrace, (Off Euston Road), WC1H Beginners/intermediate. No experience necessary.
